I exist in this strange in-between— craving your attention but never asking, wanting to be noticed but never reaching out. I will sit with my unsent messages, rewriting them a hundred times in my head, until they fade into silence. It’s not that I don’t want you. It’s that I don’t want to be a burden, don’t want to take up space I’m not sure is mine to claim. So I stay quiet, hoping you’ll notice anyway.
